DO Ca. Priorato, Spain
This wine combines three concepts: freshness, fruit, and simplicity. It is elaborated mainly with Garnacha, the main variety of Scala Dei vineyards. It has the pure expression of the fruit and the terroir. The red clay soils and the altitude of the vineyards located on the slopes of the Serra del Montsant bring freshness and the licorella, a genuine imprint that is shown in this wine in the form of personality, minerality, and acidity. It is a good example of what Garnatxa and Priorat can offer.Â
Varietal:Â 80% Garnacha (80%) and 20% Chenin
Appearance:Â It has a deep to very deep dense morello cherry red color with violet hues.Â
Aroma: The intense aromas of ripe black fruits, plum plus a touch of violet intermingle with distinct mineral notes from the licorella slate terroir which give it its distinct Priorat typicity. It's aging in barrels gives it spicy aromas such as vanilla, pepper, and toasty notes.Â
Palate:Â On the palate, it is robust, buttery, supple with intense mature tannins with a full rounded body and a long lingering finish.
Bottle Closure:Â Cork
Serving temperature:  14°C to 16°C
Pairing:  It is recommended with grilled meats, venison, cured cheeses, Iberian cured ham, and other quality cold meats. It is Ideal for tapas and all kinds of pasta dishes.Â
Alcohol:Â 14.5%
